proof of concept

Great things on the horizons!

Finally, things are falling into place.

This enters the next phase of the plan that I started exactly 6 months ago today! On Nov. 22nd I did the first rendition of my one woman show- Outside the Box, as a way to literally write my life outside of the limits and repeating cycles to nowhere.

In 6 months, I created the show, a limited series podcast, got the “proof of concept” show booked in 3 venues, and as of today, officially started the blog site. (I’ll post more as I get it up to par.) That leaves one final component to complete the four phases of my Outside the Box transformation, and it is to unfold soon!

I tested the waters in this proof-of-concept period. Some rough waters at times but enough smooth sailing to not jump ship. Having never taken something like this on before, it has been constant creation. And I am proud to say I have created every bit of every bit of everything involved in this production from promotional material on Canva to all the websites and other platforms AND how to write a show vs a stand up set. I admit to dealing with a steep learning curve across the board.

I suspected there would be a need for more online traction, especially since I went through a shift in my social circles. I didn’t have that unexpected and unintended obstacle added on my bingo card. And while the impetus for that particular change was not at my own hand directly, the eventual implosion and far-reaching flame thrower could have been handled differently by yours truly. Eh. You work with the tools and awareness you have at the time. I mean, I did manage to hold off on the usual pattern of torching of bridges previously used to exit situations. I tried to just steer clear and go my own way. But the bridges burned anyway, I suspect by original design. I now understand an ember from many years ago engulfed my emotions and I was indeed in my feelings. No regrets. Just relief.  A life less entangled was the original mission. So, mission accomplished.

So here I am in the writing/blogging phase, soon to be followed by a regular Vlog/podcast covering the gamut of my 55 years and all the weirdness that is me! Writing is my jam. It is where I am my “is-ness” most “is-ingly.” This is getting fun!

More news to follow!
